The cam and groove is a type of quick coupling that is used most in the industry.
A cam and groove coupling, also called a camlock coupling, is a form of hose coupling. This type of coupling is popular because it is a simple and reliable means to connect and disconnect hoses quickly and without tools.

Kamlock couplings

are generally available in a variety of materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and coastal fabric (polypropylene). The last kind of camlock is also called: "Camlock coupling pp". Because they cannot become contaminated, the Camlock couplings are popular in moderately dirty environments such as septic tank pump trucks and chemical or tank trucks. The system is particularly suited to a situation where frequent hose changes are required, such as for petroleum trucks, etc. As examples of industrial application, cam lok couplings can be used in a system where chemical barrel filling takes place quickly, or by factories in need of dye, paint and ink material transfers.

Note: Camlock couplings are not recommended for use with gas pressure installations, including steam or air.

Camlock TYPE A: Male Camlock coupling with female thread.

Camlock TYPE B: Female Camlock coupling with external thread.

Camlock TYPE C: Female Camlock coupling with shaft (hose barb)

Camlock TYPE D: Female Camlock coupling with female thread

Camlock TYPE E: Male Camlock coupling with shaft (hose barb)

Camlock TYPE F: Male Camlock coupling with external thread

Camlock TYPE DC: Female Camlock dust cover

Camlock TYPE DP: Male Camlock dust cover

Camlock coupling

If you are looking for a Camlock coupling to connect transport hoses, drag hoses or for example water hoses. Then you are at the right place at Techniparts!

What is a Camlock link?
Camlock couplings are one of the most popular flexible couplings in the industry for quick connection and disconnection of hose connections. The Camlok system consists of a mother part "coupler" and a father part "adapter". When both parts are pushed together and the handles of the mother part are closed, a leak-free connection is created. This unique fast-closing mechanism is resistant to, among other things, vibrations, pulsating pressures and dragging movements.

How does a Camlock link work?
The Kamlok system consists of a father part and a mother part. Both parts can be attached to each other with a lever set in the parent part. When both parts are pushed together and the handles of the mother part are closed, a leak-free connection is created.

Pressure coupling
A pressure coupling is used for hoses that are under pressure. This type of coupling is turned at connection 130 ° and is equipped with a pressure-resistant rubber ring. Usually this type is (very) difficult to disconnect under pressure, which increases safety. There are different standardized types:

Suction coupling
A suction hose coupling is used for suction hoses. This type of coupling is turned 90 ° at connection and is equipped with a pressure-resistant rubber ring. The couplings are often equipped with folding handles to make connecting the often stiff hoses easier.

Want to purchase a camlock coupling?
The Techniparts webshop has an extensive range of Camlock couplings. There is a choice of various types and sizes. Whether you are looking for a Camlock coupling A, B, C, D, DC, DP, E, F. In the material aluminum, brass, stainless steel or polypropylene. Techniparts has it all in many different sizes.
